Our Model

Life circumstances like poverty, mental illness, generational trauma, and chemical dependency can compound the stress associated with parenting young children. Our model was founded and trademarked by Relief Nursery Inc based in Eugene Oregon.

Therapeutic Classrooms provide a safe, nurturing environment to support healthy development in children ages six weeks to five years. Focused on the healthy social and emotional development of young children, Therapeutic Classrooms are an innovative strategy that incorporates emergent curriculum strategies, research on brain development, and early childhood expertise to develop resilience in children.

Home visits take a strength-based and family-focused approach. By providing parenting support and education, they promote healthy development, care, and support of the child in the context of the family.

Outreach Services offer immediate assistance to eligible families to help meet short-term needs and provide crisis response. The immediate goals are ensuring the safety of children and providing support and constructive problem-solving for parents.

Parenting education and support is offered to all parents served by the Relief Nursery. Through home visits and/or groups, they leverage an evidence-based curriculum suited to meet the family’s needs.

Partnering with Parents

We believe that every parent wants to be the very best parent they can be. We make it our mission to partner with parents to reach their goals and strengthen their families.

[Relief Nursery] Classroom services to help my 2-year-old have more social interaction and to reduce separation anxiety from me.
If I didn’t have the Relief Nursery there to guide me and have an ear to talk to I wouldn’t know where I would be with my family today.
[My Relief Nursery] really support my son with his big emotions. They always let me know what goes on and how he does in class. They are always providing the resources we need.
